Privacy notice
Your privacy matters. This notice explains what personal information this website and Awaken & Thrive with Tracey Coleby collect, why, and your rights. We keep it as short and plain as we can.
Who is responsible for your information
The data controller is Tracey Coleby, trading as Awaken & Thrive with Tracey Coleby, Braemar, Corbar Woods Lane, Buxton, Derbyshire SK17 6RH. Contact: awakenandthrivewithtracey@gmail.com or 07515 705700.
What this website does (and doesn’t) do
- No cookies, no tracking. This website doesn’t set cookies, use analytics or advertising tools, or load third-party scripts, fonts, maps or videos. That’s why there’s no cookie banner: there’s nothing to consent to.
- One optional setting. If you press the “Animations” button, your choice (on or off) is saved in your own browser so the site looks the way you chose next time. It is a single setting that stays on your device, is never sent to us and is not used to identify or track you. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
- Technical data. Like every website, our hosting provider processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site securely and to protect it from abuse. We don’t use it to identify you or build a profile.
- Links to other sites. Our links to Tropic, Weleda, Health Creation, Facebook and Instagram take you to websites run by others, with their own privacy and cookie practices. Nothing is shared with them until you click.
When you contact us
| What we collect | Why | Lawful basis | Who receives it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your name, email address, optional phone number and the message you write (via the contact form, email, phone or social media) | To reply to your enquiry, discuss and arrange appointments or gift vouchers, and keep in touch about them | Taking steps at your request before entering into a contract; and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries | The email service that delivers form messages to us, and our email provider. We don’t sell your data or give it to third parties for their own purposes. |
| Customer details and appointment records, if you become a client | Customer details, record keeping and keeping in touch about your appointments | Performing our contract with you | Only us, unless the law requires otherwise |
Please don’t put medical or other sensitive health details in the contact form or an email. If health information is relevant to a treatment, we’ll talk it through with you directly.
We don’t add you to any mailing list through this website. We’ll only send you marketing if you’ve asked us to, and you can ask us to stop at any time.
Mailing list and WhatsApp group
Mailing list. Our mailing list is run on MailerLite. If you choose to subscribe, you enter your details on MailerLite’s own page, so MailerLite receives and stores them (as our service provider) under its privacy policy. We use your email address only to send you the news, offers and event updates you signed up for. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email, and we’ll then stop emailing you.
WhatsApp group. If you choose to join our WhatsApp group, WhatsApp (Meta) handles your details under its own privacy policy, and your name or phone number may be visible to other members of the group. You can leave the group at any time.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiry messages only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry, and then delete them. If you become a client, we keep your customer and appointment records for as long as needed to look after you safely and to meet our legal and insurance obligations, and then delete them securely.
Where your information goes
Some of the services we use (such as email and hosting providers) may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards the UK GDPR requires, such as an adequacy decision or approved contract terms.
Your rights
Under UK data-protection law you have the right to:
- be told how your information is used (this notice);
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that’s wrong;
- ask us to delete your information, or restrict how we use it, in the circumstances the law allows;
- object to us using your information where we rely on legitimate interests, and always to direct marketing;
- ask for the information you gave us in a portable format, where this applies.
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We’ll reply within one month.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first at awakenandthrivewithtracey@gmail.com, by phone on 07515 705700, or by post to the address above. We’ll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it without undue delay, keep you informed and tell you the outcome.
